Abstract
AIM - The management of patients with pain is a major concern and pain can be related to various causes varying from pulpal to periodontal etiology.
BACKGROUND - Resorption can be defined as either a physiological or a pathological condition that results in a loss of substance from a tissue which can be loss of dentin, cementum, and/ or bone. CASE DESCRIPTION - In the presented case report, a female patient aged 23 years reported with pain in the lower left molar region (36) following which an intra-oral periapical radiograph (IOPA) was taken. IOPA revealed the presence of an impacted second premolar causing pressure resorption of 36.
CONCLUSION - Extraction of 36 followed by orthodontic extrusion of 35 was the proposed treatment plan but the patient insisted on saving the tooth for now, so endodontic therapy was planned followed by permanent restoration of the coronal tooth structure.
CLINICAL SIGNIFICANCE - Such case reports enhance the literature available for difficult and rare cases thereby allowing future reference and increase in success outcomes.

Key words: Tooth resorption, Endodontic Therapy, Mineral trioxide aggregate, Conservative
